Will llms.txt improve my Google rankings?

No. Google says it ignores llms.txt for search visibility and rankings. The file can be useful to other systems that support the convention, but it is optional. Prioritise your public pages, evidence and navigation before maintaining additional machine-readable versions of your content.

Should every paragraph become an answer card?

Use an answer card when it helps someone understand one question without hunting elsewhere for context. Keep explanations together when the subject needs depth. Google does not require tiny content chunks for AI search. Our approach is to make answers easy to read and share, without claiming the box around them improves rankings.

Structured data

What does JSON-LD actually do?

JSON-LD is a way to describe things on a page in a structured format: a business, an author or an article, for example. Search engines can use supported markup to understand content and determine eligibility for certain search features. It should describe the visible page accurately. Adding it does not guarantee a special result.

SEO basics

Can I choose the exact snippet Google shows?

You can write a helpful meta description, but Google selects snippets automatically and may use page content instead. Different searches can produce different snippets for the same page. Write a specific summary of what the page offers, then make sure the page itself delivers on that description.

Content

What can a small business add that AI cannot invent?

Start with your actual work: a customer question, a project decision, an original photograph or a lesson from solving a real problem. Explain the circumstances and limits, and only publish customer details with permission. We recommend collecting those examples before drafting, so the page contains experience rather than a generic summary.
